Kathyrn Provazek
My name is Kathy and I have been a student of Jeff Coston since July, 2006. For years I played competitive amateur golf but was never able to improve my performance. I had lofty goals of competing at the highest levels of amateur golf but a swing and a mental game that would not allow me to advance. I knew that by seeking out not only a top notch player but the best PGA teaching professional in the state, I would finally be on the right track. I was very fortunate to become a student of Jeff’s. When I first came to Jeff I had good basic fundamentals but a swing that would require a lot of re-work. I was strongly committed, as was Jeff, to improving my swing so I could ultimately achieve my goals. I didn’t play golf as a junior and first picked up the game at the age of 28. Golf is a challenging game even for young people, but taking it up later in life is twice as hard. I have improved dramatically over the last three years with Jeff as my coach. I had my most successful season thus far in 2009 by winning the first flight of my club championship. I was also runner-up in the SWGA City Championship in my flight. For the first time ever I was able to play in the USGA Women’s Mid-Amateur Qualifier and also qualified for the Golf Channel Amateur Tour National Championships that was held at PGA West. I want to thank Jeff for his time and commitment, patience, and excellent instruction.
