3 am east coast time. Flying to Seattle from Senior Players Championship, in Belmont. Then I drive up to Semiahmoo after playing today. Long day! Oh yes, my plane was delayed 3 hours out of Boston. Played with Kenny Perry today. He flies private. Guess I need to score lower. Kenny is one of the nicest guys on any tour. A super player and longtime friend from Franklin, Kentucky. When you drive into Kentucky, that’s what you see; home of Kenny Perry. Thirty years on tour and 40 million dollars later he deserves a sign. Great guy and he bombs it!

I got in this week after being second alternate. I took Tom Kite’s spot five minutes before the 11:20 tee time. Tom is tough, he almost played despite a torn ligiment in his right knee.

I was paired the first two rounds with Hale Irwin and Sandy Lyle. Two Hall of Fame members. Hale Irwin has won 45 times on the Champions Tour. That’s Crazy! No one will ever match that. He is 70 years old and cam flat play. They both treated me amazing.

This week I shot 72-72-66-74. I think around 34th. More 66’s are welcome.

Brad Faxon and Corey Pavin are on this flight . They are doing television for the U.S. Open this week at Chambers Bay. Two more good guys. Played a practice round with Pavin and Tom Lehman this week. Brad and I talk about the golf swing on a regular basis. Smart fellows.

U.S. Open reminds me of Father’s Day. I’ll look forward to Father’s Day. My family is my greatest accomplishment!! More rounds in the 60’s wouldn’t come close. They would be nice though.
